About

One point of contact between your desk and the supplier abroad.

Tiya Group is a foreign trade company headquartered in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul. We source the products and services our clients need from abroad, and carry Turkish manufacturers' goods into their target markets.

Import and export are not single orders — they are processes: the right supplier, the right Incoterm, the right HS code, the right paperwork, the right timing. An error in any link of that chain lands directly on your balance sheet, usually larger than the price advantage you were chasing.

We run the whole chain from one desk. From product research to sample approval, shipment planning to customs declaration, you have a single accountable contact at every step. You never have to ask where the file stands — we tell you.

One contact

One person accountable throughout. Your file does not get passed between departments.

Transparent cost

Landed cost, line by line, up front. Nothing added afterwards.

Verified on site

We inspect the factory physically. We do not trust suppliers that exist only on paper.

Delivered on time

The deadline is not a hope. It is written into the contract.

Services

What we do

Six core services — all run through a single file and a single point of contact.

01

Import Consultancy

The entire import process, from defining the product to delivery at your warehouse.

Finding the right supplier is only the beginning. The difference is made in HS classification, duty and landed-cost calculation, document sequencing and timing. We settle all of it before the order is placed.

  • Product and supplier research
  • HS classification and landed-cost analysis
  • Sampling and approval process
  • Import permits, conformity and document tracking
02

Export Consultancy

Your product is ready, the market is not. We build the market and the buyer with you.

We map the documents, standards and labelling rules the target market demands, then work through buyer sourcing, quotation and payment security alongside you.

  • Target market and buyer research
  • Product conformity, standards and labelling analysis
  • Quotation, proforma and contract preparation
  • Letter of credit and collection structuring
03

Sourcing & Supplier Audit

Every supplier looks good on paper. We go and look in person.

We physically verify the production facility and check capacity, certification and references. If we consider a supplier risky for a first order, we will not recommend them — commission or no commission.

  • Manufacturer vs. intermediary verification
  • Factory audit and capacity assessment
  • Certificate and reference verification
  • Price and payment terms negotiation
04

Customs & Compliance

Four things decide your duty and your dwell time: HS code, origin, Incoterm and permits.

Those four line items directly determine the duty you pay and how long the cargo sits at the border. None of them can be fixed after shipment, so we settle them at the table, up front.

  • HS classification and tariff consultancy
  • Origin and movement certificates (ATR / EUR.1)
  • Import permits, conformity and inspection procedures
  • Declaration and customs broker coordination
05

Freight & Shipment Management

Road, sea, air, rail — the cost/time balance managed as a single file.

We select the transport mode against the actual requirement and manage it as one file, insurance, tracking and final delivery included. Your point of contact does not change mid-shipment.

  • FCL / LCL sea, road, air and intermodal freight
  • Incoterm selection and risk allocation
  • Cargo insurance and claims handling
  • Warehousing, consolidation and inland distribution
06

Quality Control & Pre-Shipment Inspection

Stopping a defective batch before it sails beats returning it after it lands.

Pre-shipment inspection is our standard, not an add-on. Product, packaging and labelling are checked before the container is sealed, and you receive the report with photographs.

  • Mid-production and pre-shipment (PSI) inspection
  • AQL sampling and photographic reporting
  • Packaging, label and barcode verification
  • Container loading supervision
Process

How the work runs

Five steps. None skipped, none left to chance.

01

Brief & Feasibility

We define the requirement technically: product, quantity, standard, target price and deadline. If it is not feasible, you hear it in the first week.

02

Sourcing & Sampling

We collect quotations from at least three verified suppliers, obtain samples and put them in front of you as a comparison table.

03

Contract, Payment & Cost

Incoterm, payment method, late-delivery penalties and warranty clauses go into the contract. You see the landed cost line by line.

04

Production Follow-up & Inspection

Mid-production and pre-shipment inspections are carried out. A non-conforming batch does not enter the container — it is corrected or rejected.

05

Freight, Customs & Delivery

Freight, insurance, declaration and inland distribution run as one file, closed out with a signed delivery record.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the first step of an import process?
Defining the product technically and establishing its HS classification. Until those two are settled, neither duty nor landed cost can be calculated correctly — and supplier research is built on that same definition.
Can I see the total cost in advance?
Yes. Once the HS code is established we provide a landed-cost table covering goods value, duty and VAT, freight, insurance, port charges and inland transport. There are no surprise line items.
Do you work with small order volumes?
Yes. For orders below a full container we use LCL consolidation, combining multiple orders from the same region to bring the unit freight cost down.
How do you verify a supplier?
Commercial registry and manufacturing authorisation checks, factory audit, capacity and certificate verification, and existing customer references. Intermediaries presenting themselves as manufacturers are filtered out at this stage.
Which payment methods do you recommend?
For first orders we recommend a letter of credit (L/C) or documentary collection. Where there is an established history with the supplier, open account or mixed advance/term structures can be arranged — the decision follows the risk profile.
